While we have always been a recycling family, we must admit that we have been a little sloppy in our ways and not as conscientious as we should be. So, we also spent some time this weekend reviewing the basic recycling guidelines for the City of Dallas. This link is great for learning exactly what can and cannot be recycled. While exploring the site, we also noticed the Home Composting Pledge located at the top of the site, so we decided to take the pledge and commit to learning how to best dispose of food waste. We’ve never composted before!

We also stumbled across some information about Plastic Film Recycling. We learned that there are drop off locations close to our home and/or at places we regularly shop! So we will make the effort to get our baggies and plastic bags to these drop off locations instead of in our regular trash bins.

We are beginning to see many ways we can make small and easy changes to make a difference.
